SEO proposal checklist: scope, evidence and reporting

A proposal is easier to assess when each recommendation links to evidence and a defined output.

Ask for the baseline

Request the relevant crawl findings, search-performance evidence and business goals. Record the date range and known gaps so later comparisons use the same starting point.

Map recommendations to deliverables

For every recommendation, identify the affected pages or systems, the person responsible, the approval step and the result that will show the task is complete.

Define reporting before work starts

Choose a small set of measures connected to the objective. A useful report explains material changes, completed work, findings and next decisions instead of presenting unexplained totals.

Plan access and exit

Use named accounts and least-privilege access. Record who owns created content, configurations and data, and require a handover of files and account access when the engagement ends.
